BiValve Pack Lid

The G-7000 lid combines a large front pocket, suited to holding 2-liter plus hydration systems, with a huge rear pocket, suited to all the other stuff you cram into your packs lid. The bivalve joint between the pockets makes the lid hold tight to the pack or your back. It also keeps the pockets from compressing when you reef the lid down on your pack. When needed, the bivalve lid converts to a slick daypack, with hydration features intact. Breathable 3D mesh shoulder pads reduce the daypacks weight and sweat factor.

Pick Up Bottom

For all the cool things the SpeedZip bottom can do, it's ironic that it can also just go away. Locking a pair of quick release buckles together inside the G-7000 inverts the SpeedZip bottom compartment up into the pack - creating the pick up.
You can use the pickup to shrink your G-7000, and just strap your sleeping pad there, or strap a duffle's worth of bear bag overload onto the pickup - ready to swing at camp. Is this the ultimate party pack or what?

Pockets:

The G-7000's back pockets are 24" long, narrow profile give the most pocket for the least bulk - good for keeping your load stable.
Side zips open wide to give you full access to any of your gear, long enough to be within 8" of anything in the pack, short enough to be easy to close.

Sometimes you get to pick the load...

Sometimes the load picks you! When the fickle finger of fate has put you in the position of having to pack the big one - you need a G-7000. The G7's X-frame controls the biggest loads while maintaining ideal shape. The Lumbar Wrap and Outamatic framesheet then transfers that load with the lightest pressure possible.

The G-7000 shapes its load into a solid, non-sag whole with a complete wrap of Xply Cordura around the upper packbag and pockets. Anything in the packbag is accessible through a pair of #10 side zippers, and of course, the Speedzip bottom.

When you don't have a pack filling load (how'd that happen?) you can shrink the G-7000 with the cross compression straps, either across the sides, or snapped together across the back pockets for complete compression.

Or you could take up the bottom, inverting it up to the horizontal dividers' height and reducing the G-7000's volume by 20%. Why the concern with shrinking the G-7000? Because even with a great tool like this, you're working too hard - shrink it down and enjoy yourself.

G-7000 comes with custom fitting slip tool that lets you get the pack adjusted directly on your back, so you'll know you have a great fit. The Slip tool has all the info you need to get it right.
