Welcome at the Webbingbabel website. At present we are a virtual museum that can only be visited on the internet 24 hours a day. We do not have a permanent collection however, regularly organize exhibitions and events in co-operation with other websites.

The main goal of the Webbingbabel is to preserve history. This is done by collecting and describing military webbing gear, military clothing , combat medical gear, combat vests, backpacks, armour carriers and and other personal equipment-related stuff. Some of the items described on this website are part of the collection of the Virtual Webbingbabel Museum, but others have only crossed our path at one moment or another. Whenever possible, we have tried to describe the equipment to the best of our abilities.

We are always interested in acquiring new equipment for the museum. If you have any questions or if you have something to offer, please do not hestitate to contact us. And if you want to make a donation, financial or otherwise, please click here.

Our Collection

Discover Webbingbabel , our online collections catalogue, was launched in 2012 to provide online access to records from all our collections departments; museum, library, archive and RSC performances. As our collection is constantly growing, we are continually updating the catalogue to ensure we can provide the most accurate information possible with more records and images being uploaded each week. While we continue to develop our database, we have a number of subject specific databases available here to assist you with your search.

We have approximately 3,000 items across all of our collections, so if you are unable to find what you are looking for on Webbingbabel, do get in touch via the 'Contact us' page on top page.

We try to operate in a digital world and share our knowledge with researchers and the public.
