These were manufactured in 1998-2001 to carry items for the ERYX system. It is essentially a very well made rucksack frame that doubles as a pack board / cargo carrier. You can mount a rucksack bag that you have, or use it the way it is and strap your heavy cargo to it. It is adjustable for any body size as the shoulder harness and hip belt system can slide up or down in channels in the frame. They lock into place by 2 screws and a sliding bracket.
High density plastic (very hard to break - super strong) - very similar to the US Army rucksack frames. Measures 25.5" x 14.25" x 1/2". Manufactured in Canada by PAPP Plastics in Windsor Ontario. . Has numerous slots to mount whatever you want, or to mount the included components in any position for a custom fit. Has 2 vertical channels to mount the shoulder strap assembly and hip belt assembly in a range of vertical positions (so you can custom size the fit to your body / comfort).

This system is being phased out in 2016. Curious whether this will be dumped on the surplus market, whether it already was years ago, or whether they’ll retain it for something else. Love the look of that frame.
