Description

The LBT-1190 is one of the rarest and most iconic pieces of "Old Gen" London Bridge Trading gear, specifically designed for maritime and special operations (SOF) in the 1990s.

Key Features of the LBT-1190

This model is a Load Bearing Vest (LBV) featuring modular side panels, widely considered the precursor to many modern systems:Hybrid Design: It combines a tactical vest structure with the carrying capacity of a chest rig. It is famous for its fixed or modular side panels that wrap around the torso, providing a massive surface area for attaching pouches.

M.A.S.C. System: Many 1190 variants utilize the Modular Alice System Compatible webbing. These reinforced horizontal straps allow for the use of both metal ALICE clips and early MOLLE-style pouches.

Flotation Capability: As part of the lineage related to the 1195 series, these vests often included internal pockets for closed-cell foam inserts, essential for Navy SEALs during amphibious insertions.

Silver Tag (1994-1996): Versions with the silver label are highly sought after by Navy SEAL kit collectors. They are most commonly found in Olive Drab (OD) or Black.

Configuration: Unlike the LBT-1195 (which is an H-harness), the 1190 wears more like a traditional vest, but with weight distribution focused heavily on the waist and side panels.

Description

This is a rare "Silver Tag" label showing the older "804" area code for Virginia Beach, VA. The area code changed to the current "757" in 1995 so this pouch is pre-1995 era. This pouch is also a prototype and still has its original paper stock tag attached. This pouch came out of a recent overstock and prototype sale at LBT.

LBT-0290B British Style 2 pocket magazine pouch produced by London Bridge Trading in Virginia Beach, VA. LBT has held a long-standing reputation in the military and tactical world for consistently offering some of the most innovative and well-built products out there. The pouches are mounted to a hard backed panel with belt loop / A.L.I.C.E. attachment points.

Measures approximately 8.5" X 9" X 3.5" and weighs 10oz.This is a Silver Lion era product made with 1000D Olive Drab cordura and black button snaps . The (804) area code confirms this item is pre-1995, as that is when our area code changed to (757). This pouch does have minor wear from use, but remains in excellent working condition.

The area code changed to the current "757" in 1995 so this pouch is pre-1995 era.Pouch came to us from a recent private overstock and prototype sale at LBT. I was told that this pouch was probably made for the original BMG .50 cal that was single shot since newer models use magazines.
