The Wound Burn Kit is designed to administer advanced critical care to patients with severe burn and other complex wounds. The compact design opens book style to allow full access to an assortment of Silverlon® Wound Contact Dressings along with other components, all which are organized within individual easy view removable pouches. The bag can be attached to other gear using MOLLE or carried within a larger pack for "grab and go" use. Silver, with its broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties and biocompatibility for human tissue, has a long been used for burn and wound care. Silverlon® Wound Contact Dressings are designed for placement directly on the wound surface of an injury. The Silver provides an antimicrobial barrier thereby protecting the wound from outside bacteria and fungi contamination. It's highly conductive surface aids in reestablishing normal skin electrical potentials. The dressing can be left in place for several days depending on the amount of wound drainage and necrotic (dead) tissue present.
