This is an announcement from NEMO regarding the update to their FAS watertight weapon bags and their adoption by SEAL Team 4.

NEMO’s successful FAS™ (Full-Action, Sealed™) line of high performance watertight weapon bags has been updated with the FAS™ Jump AR Gen III model. Made in the USA, Gen III is now available for sale direct from NEMO and through major distributors. The bags, designed to protect a weapon from saltwater, sand and other contaminants, utilize stretch fabric panels in a proprietary design to allow normal intuitive operation of the weapon in and out of the water during OTB missions.

The FAS™ line of waterproof shoot-through bags are designed to protect a weapon from saltwater, sand, and other contaminants while allowing normal intuitive operation. The AR Swim model is designed to work with AR style rifles. It weighs only 10ozs and fits in a uniform pant cargo pocket. It’s made of a high-strength, flexible polymer film that stretches and gathers to create space around the trigger and ejector port, allowing for immediate operation of the weapon.

The AR Jump model is also designed for the AR platform, but is ruggedized for high-impact operations. The new Gen III version includes an oral inflation valve for buoyancy control and a rail zipper for redundant closure. It weighs 1 lb, 7 oz and packs to about the size of a liter bottle. The Jump version is made in the USA.

As always, NEMO Shield, their tactical line, has several new items coming out. Up first is the new Gen 3 FAS AR Jump SE. It is designed to carry an M4, M16, etc.

It now incorporates an valve to regulate the amount of buoyancy as well as a roll top closure with a water proof closure as a back up. Additionally, NEMO reintroduced the window for the ATPIAL so that the laser can be used while the weapon is still in the bag.
