History

The Advanced Protective Combat Uniform, or APCU for short, is a world class layering system for tactical professionals. It consists of seven highly technical layers, which can be combined to protect the operator from nearly any environmental conditions. From hot, windy desert to the sub-zero arctic, the system is capable of many diverse applications. It not only protects against environmental dangers, but cradles the wearer in comfort using next generation fabrics. It was designed as a superior alternative to layering systems such as Gen 2 and Gen 3 ECWCS, by a team with first hand experience in hostile, extreme environments.

The APCU system by Adventure Tech is packed with the next generation of technical fabrics. It's light, compactable, durable, and ultra functional. A sampling of the technical features you'll find layered in the APCU include anti-microbial properties, static dissipation, Schoeller Nanosphere®, and battle tested fabrics such as Gore-Tex. All of the APCU components, from the fabric production through construction, are 100% made in the USA.

Propper Uniforms & Clothing

Propper uniforms hold the highest standards in military combat clothing. Propper, which has been supplying army and military uniforms to the U.S. Armed Forces for over 40 years, also manufacturers its clothing to law enforcement and other tactical-based organizations.

As the primary contractor of almost every branch of the U.S. Military, Propper is a reliable source for military uniforms. We carry several Propper uniform models, including the Propper BDU (Battle Dress Uniform), Propper ACU (Army Combat Uniform), Propper ABU (Airman Battle Uniform), and the Propper MultiCam. Layers

The seven layers start at the next-to-skin base layer and progress all the way to insulated outerwear. As a system, the APCU has been engineered as a complete solution with advanced technologies and features designed to compliment and enhance each other.

Climashield Combat Insulation

Continuous Filament Insulation has long been recognized as the industry leader in durability and warmth compared to down and cut staple insulation. Due to its inherent nature, continuous filaments will not separate, matte or clump. This eliminates the generation of cold spots during usage, providing lasting warmth throughout the life of the product. Continuous Filament Insulation dries quickly and provides excellent warmth even in wet conditions. The results of extensive laboratory and field testing for the past 30 years have repeatedly shown that Continuous Filament Insulations are unsurpassed in terms of warmth and durability.

Engineered for applications where lightweight warmth is critical, Climashield Combat draws upon thirty-plus years of experience in military supply to offer the lightest, warmest and most compressible Berry Compliant continuous filament insulation available.

X-Static

X-static® is a fiber made with layer of 99,9% pure silver, which is permanently bonded to the surface of a textile fiber. It has been used primarily as an industrial and medical product, servicing high-tech industries and the Department of Defense.

More recently it has been thrust into consumer product markets as a result of the need for a safe, natural and effective antimicrobial solution. X-static® is antimicrobial, all natural, heat transfer, anti-static and therapeutic.
