This pouch was designed for use with British underslung grenade launchers, and holds all the grenades a soldier needs. It's topped off with MTP camouflaged material.

Although this was made for holding grenades, its size makes for a great base for survival, camping or medical kits. It's also great for paintballers and airsofters, as it can hold large amounts of gear and ammo. It can also attach to our 'osprey MTP combat vest' which makes it even more appealing to those in the paintball/airsoft scene.

The mechanism used for attachment is two straps located at the back, made for the PALS and MOLLE systems. Allow for the user to mix, match and move around equipment and gear wherever they need.

Description

Osprey body armour is a system of body armour used by the British Armed Forces. The system is in its fourth iteration following extensive development and engagement with front line users.

History / Summary

The conflict in Afghanistan proved to the British Army that there was a definite need to give soldiers their own first aid kits to give them something better to deal with combat injuries than just a first field dressing. We have looked at the DDPM MOLLE first aid pouch , and it was a definite improvement on what earlier soldiers had been issued with. When the new MTP Osprey system was introduced though a new and much larger personal First Aid Kit was issued with it.

MK 4 Variant Introduced in April 2010, this cover was made available in the modified camouflage pattern, Multi-Terrain Pattern, with modifications to the velcro coverage to improve fastening security and an outer cummerbund buckling at the front, rather than the sides. The outer cummerbund also has pockets for trauma plates at the sides. Finally, the most striking change when compared to previous iterations are that the ballistic plates are now contained within the plate carrier, not in an exterior pouch.

The main pouch is secured by a full length velcro strip at the top and will accomodate most of the smaller tactical torches like Surefire, multi-tools like Leatherman or Gerber and even pistol mags.
