Purpose

The purpose of the PLCE webbing system is to retain the means by which a British soldier may operate for 48 hours or conduct a mission-specific task.

History

Belt vz.85 / Gékáčko

Currently you can still meet the belt vz.85. The belt consists of a belt, straps, bags for magazines assault rifle vz.58. Commonly used leather holsters for magazines and weapons used in the Czech Armed Forces - pistols vz.52, vz.82 and submachine gun vz.61 can be attached to the belt. It is also possible to attach an assault knife vz.75 or bayonet and "Feld's field bottle". All these items are worn on the belt. The already mentioned bag vz.85 can be hung on the straps from behind. However, soldiers do not like this way of carrying a bag, because a loaded bag changes the center of gravity of the entire load. The only component that is relatively popular from this system are the bags. Compared to ordinary leather, they pull out the bins better. The system is considerably outdated compared to the world. The main drawbacks include the displacement of the individual bushings during running. If the carrying case needs to be replaced (other than the assault knife), the other cases must be removed. Belts and bushings do not meet the requirements for camouflage. The system for closing leather cases is very impractical - new cases are difficult to close and the old ones are worn in such a way that it is not ensured that the carried material will not be lost somewhere. Certain specific cases are completely missing.

Developments

Modular support system

After a series of quiet and loud manifestations of dissatisfaction with the condition of an individual's support equipment, the ice moved and the Modular support system - 2000, abbreviated MNS - was included in Czech Army. The path to this system was not easy and has its origins in 1998, when the military began work on a complete reconstruction of individual equipment. After debates of experts and those who claim to be experts, a system was modeled that passed military tests in a number of units (6th Special Forces Group, 43rd Airborne Battalion, Liberec Chemists) and today you can see it mostly in the units. traveling to deploy abroad. The MNS currently consists of almost sixty items. The system has two bases to which other modules are connected. The first basis is the support belt. The second basis is a tactical vest.

Tactical vest

Nobody wanted to be shot because they couldn't pull out the magazine. If they wanted to have everything at hand and not look for it somewhere in a backpack, they had to arrange it themselves. Gradually, mainly due to contacts with soldiers of other armies, mainly the United Kingdom and the United States, through them our soldiers bought from their equipment components of these armies. As there was considerable interest, several Czech companies began to produce tactical vests in camouflage design vz.95 ACR according to models from abroad. An example is a vest inspired by a British Vest manufactured by MARS Jevíčko and Combat Shield. As it was not official equipment, it was necessary to obtain permission of the unit commander. Some understood the situation and even supported the soldiers. In the pictures of airborne and reconnaissance units, you can see soldiers equipped with American, British tactical vests, vests inspired by creations created by the joint forces of soldiers and manufacturers. Said equipment has different levels of quality and over time, common commercial materials prove to be not completely reliable because, for example, they fade. It is also necessary to mention that commercial materials do not meet the requirements for coverage in the IR spectrum. The vest then "lights up" while watching the night vision device.

Feathures

 Support system

Let's start with the belt. The belt is nylon and has a plastic buckle at the front. The inside of the belt is equipped with tunnels, which have the task of preventing the displacement of the straps of the carrying belt and individual modules. The carrying strap is attached to the belt. By the way, the belt is worn relatively loosely and the weight is mainly borne by the shoulders. Individual modules are attached to the belt - cases according to the soldier's current needs - there are bags for magazines for all personal weapons, a case for a gas mask, a case for a field bottle (it is for various bottles, but the American model is most often used), cases for binoculars and observation equipment, cases for first aid kit, grenades, map, universal cases. It can be said that cases are modeled for anything from our armament and equipment that would need to be on hand.

Tactical Vest

The second basis is a tactical vest. The modeled vest has a prescribed what must fit in it - 2 grenades, 4 magazines (vz.58), Autoinjector + refills, bandage, disinfection package, assault knife. It also has three hidden pockets and pockets for leg straps. (An autoinjector is a device by which a soldier inserts a substance into his muscle (through clothing), which aims to either support the body's activity or reduce it - it is said that the first is so effective that you walk another ten kilometers with a shot leg). It is then possible to attach a belt and all cases to the vest as a carrying strap. The vest is certified for work at heights as a full-body harness. It is anchored to the rope with carabiner clamps. The belt has no function when abseiling. Only a vest is intended for abseiling and working at heights! Belt with belt no. If a soldier uses a pistol or submachine gun vz.61, he has the option to add a foot adapter to which a holster with a weapon is attached. The adapter exits for both the right and left leg. In addition to the holster with the weapon, it is possible to attach any other holster. One is then a bit like a Christmas tree. It is possible to attach a side pocket from a parachute backpack or a large field bag to the back of the vest and the strap. In order not to significantly change the center of gravity, it is necessary to import the weight at the rear with the weight in the bushings at the front. If you need to lower your profile - for example when creeping - you will loosen the upper attachment of the pocket. It folds down on the lower buckles so that it is between the legs. You then sneak through a fairly low space and you don't have to worry about dragging your pocket with you. The system also includes a rappelling bag. A rope is placed in it for the purpose of abseiling. Before abseiling, it is placed on the foot and the rope is dropped during abseiling. This does not warn the opponent of a free-hanging rope, entanglement of the rope in the treetops or in any object on the ground. The latest addition that can be attached to the back is the "Camel hump" Camelbak. The interior is original from Camelbak and the cover is made here as part of the MNS.

The whole system is compatible with NATO systems. Upon closer inspection, you will find that the mount system of the MNS is similar to the British PLCE system version "Soldier 95". The difference is the use of plastic elements to attach the cases to the belt. The British have metal fasteners. Based on experience from areas with high humidity and frequent rains, it had to be admitted that metal parts in such an environment are perishable and after a month in the jungle, there is no reliance on metal parts. For combat in the jungle, the use of plastics and nylon is clearly the best. The most common objection to plastic components is their embrittlement in the frost. The plastic buckles used are tested for use at temperatures of +/- 50 degrees Celsius. Plastic has one advantage over metal in the cold. If your hands are wet, you will freeze to a metal part very quickly.

In the year 1997, the Defence Clothing & Textile Agency (DCTA) had decided, that Type 90 Pattern (Infantry) equipment was to be scaled and issued in the following capacity.

JP-75A NBC Protective kit

The original Anti-chemical cape JP 75 A used by Czechoslovakian army during 1970's-90's. Raincoat was intended to protect against chemical warfare agents and radioactive fallout, it is thus very strong reinforced PVC in military olive color. The package also includes overshoes that protects the entire foot to the knee and pair of gloves.

The chemical kit is a one-time use for poisoning. The kit has multiple uses for radioactive contamination and for use in training.
The kit is made of special material that is sufficiently resistant to poisonous substances and has a flame retardant finish.

The JP-75A anti-chemical kit is an all-rounder designed to protect people, their clothing, and personal weapons from drops or aerosol of poisonous substances, radioactive substances and bacteriological (biological) agents. Partially protects against the effects of light radiation nuclear explosion and flammable substances.

The JP-75A chemical kit consists of:

Hooded Raincoat,
Over Boots,
Gloves.

By default, the chemical kit is supplied folded to a size of 26 x 32 cm and sealed into a polyethylene container.

The Raincoat forms an integral whole with the hood and its cut allows you to carry lightweight field equipment under it and hide a personal weapon if necessary. At the bottom edge on the inside of the raincoat placed two pockets for storing slippers and gloves. The raincoat is marked with the size number and manufacturing data printed on the lower edge of the front panel.

Overboots can be made in various variants and with some modifications to reduce the possibility of slipping on a smooth surface and improve performance. They reach above the knees and are fastened with laces either on the belt or around the foot. The tread is multilayered and reinforced with an inner liner.

Gloves are three-fingered, with wrist sealing rubber.

Sizes are distinguished for Raincoats and Overboots.

The raincoat is available in three sizes:

- No 1 for persons up to 170 cm high,

- No 2 for persons between 171 and 179 cm tall,

Czech Republic Army Backpack Paratroopers MNS 2000

Backpack for paratroopers - SPM

This backpack is currently loaded in the Army .

Backpack deny its origins in the British Bergen.

Produced by the company S.P.M. from Liberec, who is also responsible for supporting modular system .

This backpack has access to Bergen bottom.

The second entrance is located at the bottom of the bag. To open, we must undo the three retaining buckle , zip and unzip massive allow stahovadlo closing membrane. Support straps on the bag are compared with the model more convenient. Maintaining the principle of solid stitching straps , ie backpack has adjustable back length . Backpack are profiled several horizontal strips of soft material .It is interesting that all the straps are longer than we normally need. It is on the basis that the soldier in winter gear with a bulletproof vest and thongs should still be able to comfortably handle all the straps and adjust as needed.

Shorten the straps discretion is not recommended because you do not know when you will long strap fit .

Another change to the model is a pocket on a rope between the parachute backpack.

The rope has two carabiners . One padákovému is fastened to the harness and the other to the support ear bag.

The jump is allowed costs from 30 to 40 kg . Backpack has already successfully passed the test parachute .

The backpack is made of a material with a camouflage pattern 95 and includes camouflage in the IR spectrum.

Plastic parts used are the same as for new equipment German Bundeswehr .
