This system provides a truly unique set of benefits: a jacket that is highly weather resistant, breathable, and packable.

The Beyond Clothing PCU level 2 coyote grid fleece pant is part of the Protective Combat Uniform (PCU) layering system designed to keep soldiers warm in extreme cold-weather conditions. The 100 weight PowerDry Grid Fleece fabric wicks moister away from your skin, keeping you dry after a burst of activity. An athletic fit lets you add layers underneath or over the top of these pants with a minimum of excess bulk build-up, and a tapered ankle prevents fabric from bunching uncomfortably when you lace up your boots.

History
Camber Layering System - In July 2007, Beyond was announced as the official manufacturer and supplier of the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Custom PCU Cold Weather Layering System. This is based on the current PCU (Protective Combat Uniform) system, but integrated with Beyond's custom manufacturing and fit system, their garments and PCU-specific fabrics and materials.
The Beyond PCU - Customization System (PCU-CS) includes 26 integrated garments and is officially available to those members of Special Operations Forces (SOF) who do not fit into the standard grades of the original PCU kit. For anyone who is not an SOF soldier, Beyond has developed the Camber Layering System, from which the garments here are featured.
The Camber Layering System parallels and overlaps all the different levels in the PCU-CS. The PCU-CS served as the basis for the Camber, and the main difference between the two systems is that PCU-CS is restricted to govt-specified PCU-specific materials, whereas with the Camber system, Beyond is pretty much unrestricted in their fabric/material choices, being a commercial line.
Specification
Specifically made as an exclusive garment for the Standard Issue Line, the M4 Wind Jacket is designed to pair with a next-to-skin layer for intense activity in cooler temperatures. While remaining dry is not always possible, the M4 Wind Jacket retains body heat in wet weather and dries quickly. It stuffs into its own zippered hand pocket for easy transportation or storage in a cargo pocket.
