The Gregory UM21 Pack System is a heavy-duty military backpack system developed by Gregory Mountain Products and Bianchi International for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in the late 1990s. Known formally as the SPEAR (Special Operation Forces Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements) Backpack Subsystem, it was designed to efficiently carry massive loads of up to 120 pounds.
