The Full Spectrum Battle Equipment (FSBE / I) was a specialized modular kit developed for elite United States Marine Corps (USMC) units. It prioritized rapid emergency egress and maritime survival after a tragic 1999 helicopter crash in which Marines drowned because they were unable to ditch their heavy gear in time.
