RARE, as less than a 100 were made. They are identical in size to a Nalgene bottle and are made to fit the US Issue Nalgene Pouches.

The capacity is 40 fluid ounces - slightly more than 1 liter

History / Summary

The 10th Special Forces Group at Ft Carson wanted a canteen that they could take to AfganLand that could be heated and be used to stuff Snow inside and melt it for water. The issue OD Plastic Canteen cannot be heated, the issue Black Nalgene bottle has the wide mouth to stuff snow, but it also can Not be heated. The SF Group had made a custom Stainless Steel Bottle and Cup/Cooker with the wide mouth and shape of a Nalgene to be carried in the special issue nalgene pouches . This bottle is the finest US Canteen ever. You stuff the wide mouth with snow and heat it using the new SF Fuel Jel Packs and have boiling water in minutes. You can thaw snow, make soup or coffee or just heat it in place it in you Recon Bag at night.

This is a special forces-issue nalgene bottle-type canteen , made of stainless steel . These are used in Afghanistan , and other cold , mountainous terrain , as.they can be heated up and used to melt snow for drinking , and cooking . It includes the matching cup .

The issue canteens were not working and the standard plastic Nalgenes although a perfect size were breaking. They ordered these custom SS CUP to fit their Satinless Nalgeen Bottle and love them.
