Iranian Army Canteen Original Iranian Army canteen, green plastic body with Iranian insignia and Persian script below, OD green plastic screw lid with black plastic retainer strap and small screw lid on top for use with NBC drinking tube. No markings other than the insignia on front.
History / Summary
Canteen is a dual war trophy of sorts, having been captured by the Iraqis during the 1980-1988 war with Iran, and then captured from the Iraqis by a US Army soldier. Canteen was found here in the Killeen/Fort Hood area back in the early 1990s.
