This backpack was designed by and produced for medics in Special Operations Made by Eagle Industries - a rep from Eagle Industries confirmed that less than 30 of these bags were ever made.As this is a custom make for Special Operations, it does not have an NSN,its manufacturing designator is: A-III-MP-ABN It's military designator is M-82 "Bison" An Army Ranger confirmed that this bag was utilized by the 82 nd Airborne and was nick-named the “Bison” due to its size and appearance when fully packed.

A Ranger Medic emailed me and told me that these were specially made for the US Ranger Medics of 1/75th. It was nicknamed the "Bison" due to it's size and the hump of the smaller detachable pack when filled.

Main Compartment:

• Measures 23” x 14” x 8”
• Features:
• A bladder pouch for your drinking system

• (access point for your drinking tube is secreted under the EAGLE patch and is sealed by Velcro)
• Various straps to secure gear
• - Full Flap of Compression Straps (see pics)
• When that internal flap is turned over you have a 8” x 4” x 3 “ pouch with a strap closure and a 9” x 8” clear plastic pouch to hold items that need quick IDing
• Next is the front part of the Main Compartment is a full piece of Velcro that can accommodate numerous velcro pocket
• Behind the flap of pockets is a full length pocket that runs the length and width of the bag as well a zippered full length compartment that contains a foam pad

After the main compartment the pack has a zipper that goes around the entire edge of the pack as well as heavy duty Velcro and snaps - when these are all undone the front of the pack separates into a smaller pack (although there are no shoulder straps ) but t is a heavy duty carrying handle. There are also quick release female buckles (4)

The Front of this pack features:

A full size compartment that measures 23” x 14” x 8” Inside this large compartment are 2 large pockets (one has a zipper closure and one is simply open at the top) These pockets measure 14" x 11"

Overall Features of this Pack Include: 2 Attachment Straps on the bottom of the pack Compression Straps that wrap around the entire bag Night ID Feature (Velcro loop to secure Chem Light) 2 large pockets (on on either side of the pack) "O" Grommet Drain Holes in each compartment and pocket Front Zippered Pocket that measures 9" x 11" x 4"
