Nomenclature


History

It is now time to retire it a "good" old backpack M / 96, who served the defense forces in just over 20 years.FMI has sent the purchase of backpacks in the contract, and have now found a winner. The manufacturer is English and called Karrimor SF. They also delivered backpacks to the British army.

There are purchased in total 18,064 new backpacks
11,250 pieces of backpack M / 17, 35 l (daypack)
6,500 pieces of backpack M / 17, 70 l
314 pieces of backpack M / 17, HLC.

All backpacks are Multicam and is made of flame resistant Cordura 500
A part of the overall evaluation was a 14-user trial conducted by gardehusarer on Bornholm in June.
User testing included blah. trade lanes with inlaid wounded moments, sharp shooting, packing exercises, marching tours and a special load test, where both soldier and backpack came to the test.

Karrimor SF scored really high in both the soldiers and the experts who assessed the backpacks alongside soldiers testing.

There are purchased new backpacks for Defence. Three different pack types 35 and 70 liters, and a special backpack for heavy and bulky items such as water containers, flight cases, mortar plates etc.

All backpacks are Multicam ® and is made of flame resistant Cordura 500

The soldier had to wear a backpack filled with 60 kg sand over a given distance in the shortest possible time to try on the backpack's construction was strong enough. Backpacks were tested both with and without protective equipment M12.

M / 17 35 l: Daypack is a 35 liter backpack measuring 50 x 32 x 22 cm and weighs 1.8 kg.

Includes a rain cover in Multicam, just acquired sneovertræk for extradition where appropriate.
















Rygsæk M/17 70 l









M17 70L is a three-day pack has a 70-liter bag, which measures 70 x 34 x 30 cm with a weight of 3.75 kg.

Includes a rain cover in Multicam ®, and acquired snow cover.














Rygsæk M/17, HLC















HLC is designed to carry large, heavy or awkward items such as jerry cans, mortar base plates, flight cases, 12.7 mm TMG like which can not be borne by the general backpacks.




HLC has variable volume, whichever transported and measures 60 x 29 x 9 cm and weighs 3.1 kg
