It can be used as a backpack with the shoulder straps or they can be removed and the pack can be secured directly to a plate carrier by the MOLLE straps on the back. It has one large main zippered compartment and a mesh pocket. It also has three more, smaller zippered compartments with another two on the sides. Another popular feature of the Beaver Tail Pack is that it has a storage area designed to hold a operator's helmet when not being used.
