The "Small Army Bag" replaced in the Bundeswehr traditional haversack. However, they could be used as a combat pack and was then hooked instead of the Great Controversy bag or other equipment on the coupling support frame. Conceptually similar to the Large and Small Kampftasche. As a filled march and battle luggage loaded the "Small Army Bag" the soldier weighing 3.740 kg.
