USMC Canteen Cover identified to Charles B Saitta who
was a member of the 4th Engineer Battalion, 4th Marine Division during WW2. This unit saw action on Iwo Jima. Records indicate that Saitta was with this unit in January of 1945. However, further research is required to confirm or deny his participation in the Iwo Campaign.CROSS
