Description

The Bateleur 90 Battle jacket differs from the well known pattern 83 battle jacket and was mostly issued to Paratroopers.

These were predominately used by SF and paratrooper units inside the SADF particularly the 44 Parachute Regiment. This specific item was manufactured by Backpacker in 1996 these were also built by Three Spears company in Cape Town, South Africa and Texcraft. A versatile piece of equipment that has 4 shoulder adjusting points and a waist adjustment point which allows it to fit almost any human frame. The two large side mounted pods are adjustable and slide along the main belt line allowing the user to alter to their preferences.
