This is an extremely rare accessory to one of the three subsystems that can be worn independently, as a total system, or in multiple configurations to meet mission requirements. The other two subsystems are the Body Armor Load Carriage System (BALCS) and the Backpack (UM21) Subsystem.
The individual pouch and accessory components are attached to the platform components utilizing the Pouch Attachment Ladder System (PALS). This provides a strong secure attachment system and it is the same system used on the SPEAR Backpack System and MOLLE System. Further the SPEAR ELCS components are compatible with the SPEAR Backpack System, and MOLLE Pack System.
