History

The LBV-M offers more than just versatility. It is an economical system for custom rigging every team member to meet the varied operational requirements of your unit. A variety of modular pouches can be attached to the vest using eight Fastex® brand twist lock fasteners. Belt loops have been stitched on for wearing a pistol belt when additional gear is needed. The vest, pouches and modular panels are all constructed with three layers of #500 denier Cordura® nylon with all load bearing areas double or triple stitched with Eagle's SecureTack™ stitching. All pouch flaps are held closed with the positive tension release system and silent hook. Every vest comes standard with two (2), Twist lock panels of your choice, and two (2) first aid pouches that attach with slide clips above the modular panels.

Direct from the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN: Government contract over run on the Seal Team Load Bearing Platform (LBP) vest. This Navy developed vest is one size fits all. Fully adjustable, the vest is tailored "Mission Specific" and left in the Armory loaded "as required" until usage. By utilizing removable panels this vest can be utilized with pouches for different kinds of magazines.

Nomenclature

The vest and pouches are constructed of two layers of tough Cordura® nylon and pack cloth. Superior quality materials, versatility, and workmanship made to the most demanding standards of military contract and SEAL requirements . Comes complete with all six original vest panels as well as 2 Grenade pouches (with plackets) for securing Grenades, Compass or Medical Equipment. Also included are the Detachable 3 Day Ruck Pack that hooks on the back of the LBP and can be detached/re-attached in a moments notice.
