The reinforcing material at the bottom is called "Shimshoneet" in Hebrew; essentially "Samsonite" or "material that is as strong as Samson".
ReplyDeleteIt's used on numerous applications including vehicle enclosures, tents, weapons covers and anything you can think of.
It's essentially a pliable plastic with a thick weave of embedded twine. Pretty strong stuff as I used scrap material to make reinforcing panels for my own use in the IDF.
The bottom of the kitbag's outer layer is "Shimshonit" or "Samsonite", a very tough, pliable plastic/rubber material that is used for making tents, tarps, weapons covers, vehicle covers, etc. etc.
