SORD designed the the Mountain and Cold Weather Operations Jacket (MACWO) as a durable outerwear garment for protection in frigid environments and highly compressible for easy stowage when not being worn. The Shell on the MultiCam version is the Duro Epsilon Ripstop fabric, which has a Nanosphere treatment for extreme water resistance. This version features a single layer 80 gsm PrimaLoft insulation or an extreme cold weather version with a dual layer totaling 160 GSM of insulation . The Coyote Shell utilizes Epic Peak by Nextec Ripstop Fabric with a superior water resistance when compared to DWR and maintains the ability to breathe.
The MACWO jacket is packed with features including inverted zip closures on the main handwarmer pockets for added comfort. Two internal pockets allow you to secure your valuables and keep them protected from the elements and concealed. The large billowed Hood is adjustable and can be removed utilizing the large tooth zipper at the collar and has plenty of space underneath for headwear. The closure has a large full length zipper including a storm placket that is scecured with hook and loop. The wrist cuffs can be adjusted for a comfortable fit and loops are in place to secure your gloves. Two shock cords in the hem allow you to pull the jacket tight to keep out the elements and adjust to fit.
