In emergency medicine, can be reduced by the high camps injured body parts of the blood pressure to the bleeding site. Usually, in smaller bleeding a compression dressing is applied. Under a fixed wrap pad can be placed to increase the pressure on the bleeding wound in addition. In addition, a manual proximal vascular compression is possible, that is a flattening of the artery on the body-facing side of the circulation.
