We deal with the Combat Trauma Bag or CTB. As the name suggests, this bag has something to do with "medicine". More specifically, the Combat Trauma Bag is a larger first aid bag worn as an alternative or in addition to a "medical backpack" (what is MedicPack? ).
The CTB is quite versatile in terms of its wear. Thus, this bag is equipped with eight (8) Fastex buckles and is delivered with a shoulder strap, as well as 4 loose straps with straps. With the loose straps you can fix the CTB to the vest directly, but this type of wear is rather rare. As a rule, the bag is simply thrown over the shoulder.
The Combat Trauma Bag has been in service for a couple of years and can be found in pictures from the early days of OIF and even at the Force Recon from the same time. Since this bag has already a few years on the hump, there are of course also here several Vaianten of. The older models can be recognized very quickly by the black Fastex buckles. The younger models are produced with sand colored buckles.
The latest CTBs even have a small pocket for scissors on the attached pocket.
The CTB is produced in addition to Coyote Brown in Oliv and UCP.
