The Osprey cap is actually the second type (two piece) and has a BLANK circle (at 3 O'Clock, 6th picture) where the date is normally moulded: it's almost as rare as the bottle! By 1967, the waterbottles were made in black. Mugs have always been made in black.<br /><br />I was issued a '65 dated waterbottle in 1989. In 1990, the storeman fitted a S10 respirator cap, throwing away my precious green cap! I still use the waterbottle today, retaining it after service.
