No, these are not grenades.There's a screw top which is fastened to the canteen by what looks like a suped-up key ring. Some will come with a clip, but not all. They're OD Green and the color will vary slightly as pictured.
They measure 14cm (5.75") tall x 14cm (5.75") wide and 7cm (2.75") deep and have a holding capacity of 0.75 liters (25oz).

This type of canteen was produced after 1975. The (ugly) idea was to place the canteen inside the messkit. The canteen pouches (in different camouflage patterns and green colour) were produced from the mid-1990s to the different types of load-bearing vests, equipments.
